Optometrist
As an optometrist, I had access to all the newest and greatest technology this industry has to offer in glasses and contact lenses. And even though they worked great, I wanted freedom from them when I traveled and went swimming. Years ago with my very high near-sighted prescription, I would not have been a candidate for LASIK. I went to Millennium for a consultation and found out that I was a candidate and had the procedure the next week. As soon as I sat up from the procedure, I couldn’t believe it. I was able to see across the room when I was not able to do so before unless I had my glasses/contacts. It’s been a few months now and I am 20/15 (better than 20/20) in both eyes. Being able to travel and swim without worrying about my glasses or contacts has been truely amazing. From wearing gasses since I was in 3rd grade to no glasses at all has been so great and I wish I did it a lot sooner.
