I was extremely nervous to do the procedure. I have been wanting to do it for years. After my consultation, I was immediately put at ease by the AMAZING staff. I even ran into Dr. Lessner in the hall during my tour of the facility, and he took about 15 minutes to talk to me and review my chart. I was shocked that the surgeon would take the time to speak with me and put me at ease just by passing in the hall. The staff at Millennium is OUTSTANDING! I have never had a patient/doctor's office experience like this. They were all helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous. I cannot say enough good things about this office and the staff!!
I have struggled with my vision since second grade. My astigmatism made it difficult to find the right contacts that I could see with and I hated wearing glasses. After suffering corneal abrasions from ill-fitted contacts, I'd had enough. I've contemplated lasik for several years, but have been afraid because I've had trouble finding a doctor whose abilities I felt comfortable with. I don't regret not having done this sooner in life, because I wouldn't have found Dr Lessner...and THAT is something I would've regretted. He corrected my astigmatism 100%, which I am still stunned by. I didn't think it was possible. He and his staff are the absolute best and I could not be happier with my decision. AND IT WAS PAINLESS! I have been thinking of LASIK eye surgery for about 10 years. I never felt like a candidate because my vision got progressively worse every year. Once it started stabilizing, I was concerned about my high prescription plus astigmatism and severe dry eye. I was surprised that I was considered a candidate at my consultation and booked my surgery right away. The day of the surgery, I was given medicine to feel relaxed and the actual procedure only took a few minutes with no pain or discomfort. The next day, I drove myself to the follow-up appointment and was amazed at how good my vision was and it continued improving after the first few days. The recovery was very minimal and the easiest I've experienced after any surgery. I can't remember the last time I had perfect vision without the need for glasses or contacts. Not being a natural beauty I need make up to give me color. With my hair up and glasses on, I looked like an old lady!
